Scott Roeder makes his first court appearance via a video link from the Sedgwick County Jail on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in Wichita, Kan. Roeder, 51, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of late-term abortion provider Dr. George Tiller. Judge Ben Burgess ordered Roeder to be held without bond, and said he was not allowed to communicate with Tiller's family. The judge also told Roeder that he would be assigned a public defender. (AP Photo/Jaime Oppenheimer, Pool)AP - The man charged with murdering a high-profile abortion doctor claimed from his jail cell Sunday that similar violence was planned around the nation for as long as the procedure remained legal, a threat that comes days after a federal investigation launched into his possible accomplices.
